Find out about our exhibition of photography and creative writing by young people aged 18 - 21.
Writing London is a fantastic exhibition of photographs and creative writing by young people aged 18-21 from the Foyer Federation, an organisation which provides supported housing for young people.
Inspired by the British Library’s Writing Britain exhibition, the young people have presented their own unique view on London life. They worked alongside photographer Sara Haq, writer Charlie Dark and artist Shelagh McCarthy to put together the display which takes place over three floors in the café, restaurant and level two corridor.
Writing London is the first of five youth-led projects which will be taking place across the country, each inspired by Writing Britain. Young people in Bristol, Leeds, Newcastle and Norwich will be producing their own work in response to literature written in and about the areas they live in.
The project is generously funded by the Paul Hamlyn Foundation.
