Writing competition - this competition is now closed.

Organised by the British Library and the RHS
Supported by Suttons Seeds and Hewlett Packard.
The winning entries were read on Tuesday 5 April 2005, at the Penelope Keith event.

1st prize was won by Gillian Hovell, Birstwith, N Yorks
2nd prize was won by N Edwards, West London
3rd prize was won by Dawn Nelson, Petersfield, Hants

Two runners up prizes were won by Jessica Neal, Lancaster and Brenda Green, Poole, Dorset

Competitors had up to 750 words to convince our judges that their interpretation of the title ‘The Writer in the Garden’ deserved to win a beautiful wooden garden arbour and Tablet computer.

Organised in association with the Cumbria Tourist Board.
