The Balkan Crisis

The British Library has an extensive collection of books, pamphlets, bulletins, newspapers and documents from all sides involved in the Balkan crisis, as well as from other countries.

The collection includes material about the war in Croatia, the war in Bosnia and Hercegovina, the crisis in Kosovo and NATO bombing of Yugoslavia, and the conflict in Macedonia. It also includes material on war crimes, genocide, ethnic cleansing, refugees, human rights abuses, destruction of the national heritage of the Serbs, Croats and Bosnians, peace conferences, etc.

The Balkan crisis, 1990-: catalogue [Part 1], compiled in 1997, provides a listing of publications, acquired up to 1996, held in the British Library catalogue. Part 2 of the catalogue, which lists material acquired after 1996, was published in October 2001.
