There are delivery issues affecting many Asian-language books and journals published between 1850 and 1985 following their move to a new storage facility in Boston Spa. These issues affect many books and journals published between 1850 (1900 for Arabic and Chinese) and 1985 with numeric shelfmarks between 14002 and 19968.
Most Asian-language books published after 1850 (1900 for Arabic and Chinese) are now stored off-site at Boston Spa. But for some books with shelfmarks in the range 14002.a.1-19968... the online book request system is displaying an incorrect location. If you wish to order material in this date range and see the location displayed on the request system as 'Available - On site - 70 minutes' you are advised to check with the relevant language curator that this is actually the case, as it is far more likely that the book is stored off-site. These books can be ordered, but you may require assistance from the language curator if the location given on the system is incorrect.
